Starting your mental health journey

Starting on the road to improving your mental health may seem daunting and even overwhelming but it's not always about how you start, it's about starting.

If you ever feel stuck, overwhelmed or like life is too heavy...It's important that you don't take on that load alone. Talk to a trusted person and if you feel like you need professional help here are some ways you can get started.

  1. Call your local GP and tell them your concerns. They will guide you towards local services that can help with your specific needs.
  2. Use the NHS website (CLICK HERE) to find a number of suitable services in and around your area.
  3. For non-emergencies call 111 for any help or advice if you don't have access to a GP, internet or someone to talk to.
