About Maro

Welcome to MARO's Comedy, the premier stand-up comedy event dedicated to showcasing the talents of emerging comedians and raising awareness for mental health and mental health services. Founded by Reomy D. Mpeho and Stephen Offei-Simon, this event was born out of our personal struggles with finding comedic opportunities and our own experiences with mental health. 

As creatives, we understand the difficulty of finding opportunities to gain exposure and hone our craft. We also recognize the importance of mental health and the need for accessible services. Therefore, we have created MARO's Comedy as a platform to address both these issues simultaneously.

Our goal is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where new comedians can shine, while also promoting dialogue and understanding around mental health. By combining the power of comedy and the importance of mental well-being, we aim to create an event that not only entertains but also encourages positive change. Join us on this journey as we laugh, learn, and raise awareness for mental health, one joke at a time.
